How do I add images to group pages or announcements?

To add images to group pages or announcements:

  • Navigate to your group's "Files" page and use the "Click or drop file" button to find an upload a file from your computer. Make a note of the file name (which you'll need for one of the subsequent steps, below).

  • Next, when creating or editing a group page or announcement, position the cursor where you’d like the image to go. Click on the "Image" button in the top row of the toolbar.

  • In the Image editing pop-up window that appears, paste the following text into the "URL" field, replacing “filename.jpg” with the actual file name of the image you uploaded to your group’s “Files” page and also replacing "1234" with your group's ID number, which is displayed below your group's logo in the menu on the left-hand side of the screen:

Of note, you can also make some basic adjustments to the image's height, width, alignment, and more by adjusting settings in the Image editing pop-up window. Or, if you're using the editor's "Source" view, you can make changes by altering the HTML. If this latter option is of interest, a very helpful and concise guide to adding and modifying images using HTML can be found here: https://www.w3schools.com/html/html_images.asp.

If you have trouble with any of the above steps, you can also submit a new help ticket for assistance.
