How can I make my project public, private, or accessible only to logged-in members?

If you are creating a new project:

When you create a new project, you can choose to make it available to the public (any visitor to the Canadian HSS Commons can find the project in searches and listings and view its basic information) or keep it private (the project is hidden from searches and listings). To do so, look for “INCLUDE PROJECT IN SEARCH?” in the second step after you click on the “Start a project” button. Here you can choose “Project is hidden from search and listings (private project),” “Logged-in members can find this project in search & listings and view its basic information,” or “Anyone can find this project in search & listings and view its basic information (public project).”

If you wish to change the privacy of an existing project:

Log in to your account and click on your profile picture or the silhouette to go to your Dashboard. Click on “Projects” in your dashboard. Here, you will be able to see all of your projects. Please note that you can change the project settings if you are a manager of that project. Click on a project and you will be able to find the “Edit Project” link just below the “Project manager” button in the top-right corner. Click on that and look for the option “Who can find this project?” under “Access.” You can then choose your desired settings. Don’t forget to click the “Save changes” button at the bottom of the page to save any changes.
