Create or Connect your ORCID iD

ORCID provides a persistent identifier – an ORCID iD – that distinguishes you from other researchers, and a mechanism for linking your research outputs and activities to your iD. This can be connected with professional affiliations, grants, publications, and more. You do not need to have an ORCID iD in order to use the Canadian HSS Commons. However, we are looking into further integration with ORCID and will, ideally, be able to streamline your information in the future in this way. This will benefit you by reducing duplication of work and ensuring that all pertinent information is current.

  • Must not contain easily guessed words
  • Must contain more than 4 unique characters
  • Must be no longer than 16 characters
  • Must be at least 8 characters long
  • Must contain at least 1 number or punctuation mark
  • Must contain at least 1 letter

Once you create an account, you will be sent an email containing an activation link.
