Le budget fédéral de 2018, publié le 27 février 2018, profitera grandement à la recherche au Canada. Le budget comprend un financement de 925 millions de dollars sur cinq ans accordés aux organismes des trois conseils: Instituts de recherche en santé du Canada (IRSC), Conseil de recherches en sciences naturelles et en génie (CRSNG) et Conseil de recherches en sciences humaines (CRSH).
