Abstract

Effective digital projects need documentation, institutional support, and strong teams to lead them. When it comes to handing off major digital projects, however, these needs become even more critical. Drawing on our experiences as editors of the World Shakespeare Bibliography, this paper reflects on the importance of institutional support and feminist care practices to guide digital projects during leadership transitions, drawing on our experiences as editors of the World Shakespeare Bibliography.

Heidi Craig is Assistant Professor (CLTA) English and Digital Humanities at the University of Toronto.

Laura Estill is a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Digital Humanities and Professor of English at St. Francis Xavier University.
